Mullen Automotive Expands Global Reach with $210 Million EV Shipment to UAE

Mullen Automotive, a California-based electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has embarked on a significant global expansion by shipping its first batch of vehicles to Volt Mobility in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This initial shipment is part of a $210 million purchase agreement, signaling a major advancement for Mullen's commercial EV business and its international market penetration.

The contract entails the delivery of 3,000 Class 1 and Class 3 EV cargo vans and trucks over 16 months to Volt Mobility, which will lease these vehicles to major corporate clients in the UAE, including logistics leaders UPS, DHL, and FedEx. This partnership not only introduces Mullen to the Middle Eastern market but also reflects the increasing shift towards eco-friendly transportation in the logistics sector.

David Michery, CEO of Mullen Automotive, highlighted the importance of this milestone, noting the company's commitment to supporting the launch in Dubai. This move follows Mullen's recent expansion into Europe, reinforcing its status as an emerging force in the global EV market. Mullen's recent achievements, including the start of commercial production at its Mississippi plant and IRS approval for federal EV tax credits, underscore its growing capabilities.
